BREAKING NEWS – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Chance, a Philadelphia Fire Department arson dog, looks up at his handler Lt. George Werez during Chance’s retirement ceremony. The nearly 9-year-old canine was a member of the Arson and Explosives Task Force and responded to about 900 fire scenes in his career. A second dog was scheduled to retire, but Werez who skipped breakfast, had eaten it for lunch.
