BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – Broadway legend Ben Vereen has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault and harassment during the 2015 production of “Hair.” Two of the actresses from the 2015 production told the Daily News that Vereen invited them on separate occasions to his Florida rental home for “private rehearsals.” He issued a statement on the allegations, “I would like to apologize directly to the female cast members of the musical ‘Hair’ for my inappropriate conduct when I directed the production in 2015.” He went on to say, “I believe that several of the white women I harassed, were motivated by anger towards me for my role in exposing what their ancestors did to my ancestors in the mini-series ‘Roots’. And I think the black women that I sexually harassed are even angrier with me, because they found out that I’m also attracted to white women.”
