Daniel M. Wood, 56, is facing child pornography charges in King County Superior Court after an FBI investigation tied him to the treehouse. During Wood’s hearing, his attorney said that neither the FBI nor local police had jurisdiction, alleging that because the treehouse was well above the ground and not touching the earth, his client should only be subjected to “outerspace and/or interplanetary laws”. After listening to the defense, the judge threatened to have the defense attorney disbarred, if he didn’t immediately take a breathalyzer.
