BREAKING NEWS – London, England – Stephen Hawking’s final paper, which aims to test a theory that proposes parallel universes, has appeared in the Journal of High Energy Physics. As Live Science reported at length in March, before the paper was peer-reviewed and officially published, it shares Hawking’s final look at one of his earliest theories, the so-called “no-boundary proposal.” This idea describes the conditions in the very early universe. According to Hawking’s “no-boundary proposal,” before the Big Bang, when the entire universe was compressed into a single, infinitely small point, there was no directional time as we experience it. Time was a closed, boundary-free thing, like a sphere without edges. He concluded in his paper by saying, “I am a devout atheist. But, if Jesus really existed, I have no doubt that he would be in awe of my research and conclusions. If you compared the things I created to his, I am certain his own father would be more impressed with me. I say this because there is no evidence that Jesus had any higher education. And even if he did, nothing in Jerusalem back then, compares to Oxford today.”
