BREAKING NEWS – San Francisco, California – Recent social media posts by tourists visiting San Francisco casts a troubling light on the City by the Bay over its homeless issue, open drug use and filthy streets. “Is this normal or am I in a ‘bad part of town?’” an Australian Reddit user asked the San Francisco Reddit community. “Why is this city so terrifying?” inquired a Canadian visitor. Concerned about losing tourists, Mayor Mark Farrell publicly addressed the issue, and he encouraged tour guides and local travel agents to print the comments he made at a press conference. “In this wonderful city, there is no ‘bad side of town’. There is an equal amount of hypodermic needles dotting the streets, piles of human feces, and expanding shanty towns for the increasing homeless population all over San Francisco. You will see it everywhere you go during your relaxing stay here. So to assume that one area is more disgusting than another is inaccurate, because you can get grossed out equally in all directions. However, citizens take pride in knowing that tourists will be able to smell our city from anywhere on the Golden Gate Bridge.”
