BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – An activist author ignited a social media firestorm after saying she was left “very confused” seeing a black man with a pro-NRA and Tea Party bumper-sticker on his car. Kimberley Johnson, a feminist contributor to HuffPost and the spokeswoman for the national advocacy group We Are Woman, was slammed for questioning why a black person would not embrace progressive politics. “Out on the road the other day I saw an affluent black man driving a BMW with two bumper-stickers. One was pro-NRA and the other one was a Tea Party sticker that read, ‘Don’t tread on me,’” she wrote in a now-deleted tweet. “This left me very confused.” She then said after a few minutes, her confusion changed to anger. She said she began yelling in her car, “I thought you black people knew your place politically! You people are suppose to embrace liberal ideas… exclusively!” She then added, “I was tempted to try to get him to pull over, and step out of his car so I could literally shake some sense into him, but that would be construed as racist. But I thought it was also possible that he might be as progressive as I am, and the car he was driving wasn’t his, but a vehicle he had just stolen.”
