BREAKING NEWS – Charleston, Maine – A convicted murderer escaped from a Maine prison, with authorities confirming it was the third time he has fled. Arnold Nash, 65, escaped from the Mountain View Correctional Facility in Charleston, the Bangor Daily News reported. He was last seen in blue jeans and a white T-shirt. “He’s dangerous,” Stephen McCausland, a Department of Public Safety spokesman, told the Portland Press Herald. “He’s a career criminal and residents in the Greater Charleston area need to be aware, be vigilant and take extra precautions.” McCausland went on to say, “This is Charleston, Maine, not Chicago or New York. Out here, we put murderers in minimum security facilities, with the inmate signing an honor commitment, and this is the third time Nash has violated it, and now we’re cracking down. When he is captured and returned, we will consider locking the cells of inmates at Mountain View Correctional Facility when they go to bed at night, and also imposing a 7:00 p.m. curfew on all criminals deemed extremely dangerous that frequently leave the prison throughout the day.”
