The Vanity Fair piece, written by Joe Hagan, seems to go off the rails when he concluded the interview by stating, “I am convinced that Beto is the son of Zeus, and he flew into El Paso from Mount Olympus on a winged horse. I have no proof that he didn’t, and I’ll maintain that it’s true until he personally admits to me that I was mislead.”
