BREAKING NEWS – Albany, New York – New York City politico Lindsey Boylan alleged on Twitter that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo “sexually harassed me for years.”
Boylan, worked for the governor’s administration from 2015 to 2018, and she worked for Empire State Development, the state’s economic development public-benefit organization, until March 2018, when she became deputy secretary for economic development and special adviser to Cuomo.
“Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years,” Boylan wrote. “Many saw it, and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation? This was the way for years.”
Governor Cuomo responded to the tweet. “Lindsey Boylan referred to how I was treating her as sexual harassment,” he explained. “I call it, exercising my rights over my staff as an important elected official.”
