BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – Vice President Kamala Harris is facing criticism for appearing to break with precedent and failing to salute the honor guard when boarding Air Force Two. Former Vice President Mike Pence and President Biden, regularly saluted the honor guard in the same situation.
Video reviewed by Fox News showed that Harris did not salute the honor guard on Monday nor during earlier trips on March 15 and 16. She did not appear to salute when disembarking Air Force One with Biden on March 19 either.
She finally commented on the controversy. “I will not be labeled as a hypocrite,” she began. “I will not salute to anyone that’s affiliated with an organization that uses guns and weapons. I hade that exact same mindset when I was the district attorney in California, as I locked up every gangbanger that would slink into the courtroom. I didn’t respect them, and I feel the same way toward our military, even if they are allegedly protecting this country.”
