U.S. & World History – In between February of 1692 and May of 1693, there were a series of hearings and prosecutions of women accused of dabbling in the occult in colonial Massachusetts. Once they were found guilty, they were burned at the stake. What history omitted, was all of the women were accused of aligning themselves with Satan, because they wore on the wrists, small clocks. When caught wearing one, their fate was sealed, with flames. Over the centuries, the title of this event has been changed, but it was originally called the “Salem Watch Trials”.
