BREAKING NEWS – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – The NCAA’s updated policy on transgender participation threw into question whether Penn swimmer Lia Thomas will be able to race come the winter championships in March.

The NCAA announced its policy for transgender participation will be determined on a sport-by-sport basis. If there is no national governing body for the sport, then the NCAA sport will follow the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) policy.

Lia Thomas who was born a male with the name Will Thomas, has been smashing records for women swimming.

“I have made my position clear, and I have no intention of changing it,” he/she explained. “I refuse to compete in men’s swimming because I would never come in first place or even in the top three. I want trophies! I need trophies! And I plan on continuing doing what I’m doing, which is beating my current competitors like they are nothing more rented mules!”
