BREAKING NEWS – New Orleans, Louisiana – New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell was pictured partying maskless during an indoor Mardi Gras event, despite reinstating the city’s COVID-19 mask mandate for schools and indoor public spaces just weeks ago.
One hundred short videos taken at the Mayor’s Mardi Gras Ball at Gallier Hall were posted online before they were deleted following Fox News’ inquiries. The videos, taken by a 360-degree photo booth, showed Cantrell singing karaoke maskless with two other women, who were also without masks.
Not a single person wore a protective facemask in the videos, which were taken down less than an hour after Fox News requested comment from Cantrell, and then she finally commented.
“People from New Orleans can relate to what I am about to say,” she began. “Down here, we strongly believe in voodoo. Before opening the doors at the Gallier Hall, we contacted several authorized voodoo representatives to cast the appropriate spells to prevent the guests of the party to not catch COVID-19, or at the most, a mild form of it. We also had some spells cast that no one dropped dead on the dance floor. That spell worked, and that’s all the evidence I needed to be confident in the first spell.”
