BREAKING NEWS – Warsaw, Indiana – A northern Indiana pastor stands accused of having sex with a woman for years, starting when she was just a teenager.
Pastor John Lowe II admitted to his congregation at New Life Christian Church and World Outreach in Warsaw on Sunday that he committed adultery nearly 20 years ago. Directly following his confession, a woman stepped forward to the microphone and accused the pastor of taking her virginity on his office floor when she was just 16 years old.
Lowe immediately responded to her in front of the entire congregation. “Well I thought it was mutual consent,” he said to her in an accusatory tone. “If not, you made me feel like it was, so shame on you for manipulating me. Luckily for you, I’m a pastor, and I found in my heart to forgive you.”
He was hospitalized later that morning with a mild concussion, after nearly half of the people attending the service angrily threw hymnal books at him, with several of them ricocheting off of his forehead.
