BREAKING NEWS – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – The Philadelphia Department of Public Health announced that a city program aims to provide pregnant residents with $1,000 monthly cash payments.
After securing some funding from the William Penn Foundation and Spring Point Partners, 250 pregnant Philadelphians will receive the cash payments.
To be eligible, the residents must live in the Cobbs Creek, Strawberry Mansion or Nicetown-Tioga neighborhoods. The other possible criteria is, the fathers of the children have left town, are in prison, or expected to be convicted in an upcoming trial.”
