BREAKING NEWS – Deland, Florida – Florida mother Veronica Elliott has been arrested and charged with child neglect after police say she left her 7-year-old daughter in an unattended, unlocked vehicle for hours while she got drunk at a local bar.
DeLand police responded to The Perfect Spot Bar just before 3 a.m. after the girl walked up to the bar looking for her mom, according to a press release.
“My daughter is nothing more than an ingrate and a tattletale,” Elliott told the police after she was arrested. “When she was younger, I gave her all the Similac she wanted, now she is depriving me of all the whiskey that I want. The selfishness of today’s kids is really alarming!”
