BREAKING NEWS – Chicago, Illinois – A Bloomberg reporter said he was “physically shoved” by a staffer for Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson.
Ian Kullgren, a Bloomberg Law reporter, first posted his claim on X.
“A staffer for @ChicagosMayor just physically shoved me for trying to ask the mayor a question. 1st time in 15 years as a reporter I’ve had anything like this happen. Unbelievable,” Kullgren wrote.
Mayor Johnson responded to Kullgren on X. “When I am taken to work daily by limousine, I have often seen people getting beaten up, stabbed, and shot on the streets as we drive by. For the most part I don’t even notice it anymore, unless the victim or witnesses are screaming extremely loud. Thus, the shove Ian Kullgren received was no big deal.”
