LIGHTHOUSE  (A poem by Blake Grantham)

You’re my lighthouse
beaming bright,
into the night,
guiding me through stormy seas

You’ve unlocked doors
to my heart,
and from the start,
only you have had the keys

When you hold me closely,
down by the bay,
we feel the mist
of the ocean spray

And as the sun sinks,
it reminds the moon
and stars again,
it’s their turn

You’re my flickering
candle in the darkness
that shall eternally burn
