U.S. & World History – The Space Needle is a tower in Seattle, Washington, and is a major tourist attraction of the Pacific Northwest that was built for the 1962 World’s Fair. But recently, several high ranking officials from NASA, declassified some documents that confirms how the Seattle landmark got it’s title. It was named the Space Needle to honor all of the visitors from distant galaxies that came to earth, embraced negative aspects of our culture, and unfortunately left this planet addicted to heroin.
