A few years ago, I hired a tree removal service to completely remove a tree from my front yard, as if it were never there. They told me it would cost $500.00, so I handed them a check for that amount. A few hours later I was outraged that they were gone, after doing only half of what I requested. And when I realized I gave them a check, I called my bank and had them issue a stump payment!
