U.S. & World History – A very popular movie released in 1987, was nothing like the original script. The initial idea offered to Universal Pictures was about a computerized scarecrow that patrolled the fields of a farm 24/7, to make sure nothing was ever stolen. Universal Pictures modified the idea and applied the concept to a police officer. The movie was eventually released and was a major box office success. They slightly changed the title after the script was rewritten, but the first version with the setting on a farm was called, “Robocrop”.
