U.S. & World History – A little known fact about a very popular musical band from the 1960s, is how they got their name. They didn’t know what to call themselves when they first started out, so they went with a name that visually described people who liked the tempo of their music, as they tapped a certain part of their feet. The British band eventually slightly modified the name of their group, but the original title was the “Beat-Toes”.
