U.S. & World History – A very prestigious educational institution on the east coast actually got its from an initiation ritual from one of its sororities. To join one of the sororities back in the 1800’s, new members had to stand still while the older members would throw tiny arrows at their lips. This type of hazing was eventually banned and the school name has been slightly modified by removing the hyphen, but for over a century the school was called Dart-Mouth College.
