U.S. & World History – When King Henry the VIII looked out of his bedroom window early one morning in 1510, he was unpleasantly surprised, which quickly turned into anger. He saw a deep dug-out hole that encircled his castle that was filled with semi-frozen strawberry flavored milk. Enraged, he immediately summoned his Royal contractor. After the King’s tirade in which he belittled the Royal Contractor questioning his intelligence, his employee responded with a somber apologetic voice and said, “I’m terribly sorry Sire. When you said you wanted your castle surrounded by a mote, I thought you said a malt.”
