BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – Susan Rice, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said in an opinion piece that ran in the Washington Post that the United States is less safe when the White House doesn’t tell the truth. Her statement drew a reaction from Twitter users, who mocked her based on her 2012 statements about Benghazi. Rice’s response was almost immediate. “I was not an elected official,” she explained. “Yes, I lied my butt off about Beghazi. However, keep in mind I was appointed. Thus, my deception did not betray the trust of any voters… or something like that… I think.”
