Dear Blake,

A man I had a fling with made a disrespectful joke about me on twitter. I called him out on it and told him it made me uncomfortable, but he didn’t really apologize about it or take it down. I’m pretty hurt by what he did, and I admit that I am a typical thin skinned woman. What should I do, if anything?

Signed, Sally

Dear Sally,

Men often cross a line when making comments about past women in their lives. But for him to embarrass you in public is a good reason for you to bring out your claws as you’re looking for his jugular. Here are some ideas you can ponder. You can make some anatomical comments about your ex that can easily cause women to laugh him out of town. Or, if you’re good at photoshopping, make some images of him dancing in a gay bar wearing cheap make-up. How about this one? Send a dozen roses and a romantic card, with his forged signature to his boss’s wife. Include a note that if she’s interested in him, he knows how to get rid of her husband, after watching how to do it in countless movies on the Lifetime Channel. But you can also take the high road. Remember sticks and stones can great break your bones, but names can never hurt you. So, I suggest you set up a face to face meeting with him… while you’re carrying some stick and stones. It might also be a good idea to call an ambulance after your attack, because that will show the judge that you regret your actions, during the sentencing portion of your trial. I hope this helps.

Blake
