BREAKING NEWS – Chicago, Illinois – Steve Harvey defended his decision to meet with President-elect Donald Trump on Monday during his radio show, saying he has received backlash since his highly publicized meeting with Trump on Friday. “On a personal note, a lot of ya’ll hurt me,” he said on his radio show. “You really did. I didn’t expect the backlash to be so fierce.” His voice cracked a couple of times when he was reading a petition started against him to boycott his show. “What it says here as that I am a traitor. And that I should not in any way, shape, or form, assist Donald Trump in rebuilding inner cities and reducing crime. The petition also says that Trump is trying to fix these problems,” he chokes up, “because he’s arrogant and he wants to deprive democrats the opportunities to solve the problems that they created.”
