BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – The Congressional Black Caucus said that its members had voted to reject an invitation to meet with President Trump. CBC Chairman Rep. Cedric Richmond, D-La., wrote in a letter to President Trump that stated in part, “Your plan to improve the inner cities, which in turn would cause our most reliable supporters to turn against us, is unacceptable on multiple levels. These communities are used to not having much, and we will not allow you to come in spoiling them, with jobs, hope, and encouraging self-sufficiency. So we respectfully decline your offer based on the well founded reasons I have articulated.”
