Dear Blake,

My wife has told me that she wants to go on a ten day cruise with some of her female friends that she works with. I know her job is often stressful, and she could use a break, but I’m a little uncomfortable about this. Do you think my feelings are misplaced?

Dear Max,

Sometimes stepping away from a job temporarily is a good idea to avoid a complete burn out. But in your case, it should be obvious that she plans to leave you. Think about it. For ten days, she doesn’t want to hear, see, or smell the likes of you. More than likely she considers you a loser, and she’s considering her options of relocating at every port of call, without you. Your marriage is over! It’s done! It’s time for you to move on! Your biggest mistake, was not finding out sooner how nauseous she gets when you’re in her presence, and went on the cruise with her. And when there were no witnesses and she was leaning over the guard railing too far, in one quick motion you could assist her in getting a better view of the ocean. On the other hand, she could have just left to get some R&R, and the one way ticket she purchased should have been a round trip, and it was just a booking error. (Yeah right). I hope this helps.
