Ask Blake Picture111

Dear Blake,

I am congressman from the U.S. House of Representatives. I rarely go to church, because on the rare occasion that I go, I bombard myself with the question, will God hold me accountable for the things I told my constituents to get elected and for the things I’ve done while in office, or does God understand that it’s “politics”, and He looks the other way? I know eventually I’ll be standing in front of Him, so I want to know what to expect.

Signed, R

Dear R,

It’s good that you are inquiring about your ultimate eternal destination. Unfortunately, I am convinced that there will be very few elected officials in this country, that won’t eventually be roasting in hell. Considering the amount of lies you people regularly tell when say one thing to one crowd and the exact opposite to the next one, I believe God will speak harshly to both of your faces. I would also suggest that you try to bring some of the money with you to Flame City that you acquired from ruthless lobbyists that bought your vote, so maybe you can purchase an ice cream cone once a millennium. But alas, all is not lost! With the current accelerated rate of unscrupulous behavior in Congress, when they die, even Satan may not want them in his realm, because their mindset could potentially corrupt his demons to the point that even he finds them unmanageable. I hope this helps.
