Dear Blake,

I am 17 years old and so is my boyfriend. I am really attractive and a straight “A” student. My boyfriend is the handsomest guy at my high school by far, and every girl here would agree to that. He’s also a star athlete on the football and baseball teams. We want to get married but can’t decide if we should do it after we graduate from high school next month, or after we graduate from college in four years. What do you think?

I am glad to hear about two young hearts in love. Unfortunately, I think your relationship is doomed because of your genetic combination. You said you re a straight “A” student. If your boyfriend is a star athlete in two sports, he more than likely fits into the category of being a “dumb jock”. Genetically speaking, this means probably 50% of your children will also be idiots. You say both of you are currently really attractive. This can create a major problem in the future. If one of you ages very well, while the other hits the wall, the “pretty one” will make a hasty exit, never to be seen again. But I think your biggest issue will be if he continues to excel as an athlete. If he makes it to the pros, you will immediately become mercilessly expendable. And your husband is going to spend a lot of his free time submitting to DNA tests, after being sued by women in major cities all over the U.S. that are demanding child support. I hope this helps.
