Ask Blake Picture111

Dear Blake,

I have been a nurse for about 15 years. And just like in a soap opera, I have fallen in love with a surgeon, even though he doesn’t know it. Anytime he walks pass me, I almost melt. When we are on the elevator at the sime time, my smile is so big, my jaws practically hurt. I have no idea if he knows how I feel. Do you think I should tell him?

Dear Amelia,

Office romances occur every day all over the world. Unfortunately, you have fallen for someone that has the capacity to alter your life, or even take it if he was adventurous enough. Do you really want to marry someone that has intricate knowledge of the inner workings of your body? Wouldn’t you be nervous going to bed at night after having a heated an unresolved argument? Keep in mind, this potential mad doctor, could manipulate your spine so you can’t walk anymore, remove one of your kidneys, or even let the air out of your lungs. You’d have to sleep with one eye open (unless he decided to remove those too). Or he could even figure out a way to clog your arteries, so when you clinch your chest have a heart attack and croak, he can be miles away with a perfect alibi, as he plans a weekend getaway with a younger prettier nurse. On the other hand, he might feel about you as you do him, and your safety will never be in jeopardy. But there are no guarantees that a homeless person knocking on your front door late at night begging for food during a creepy electric storm, won’t be unfortunately dissected by your husband, as he mixes and matches body parts, that clearly reflects his demented obsession with Frankenstein. I hope this helps.
