Ask Blake Picture111

Dear Blake,

I am about to get married to a man that is very analytical and intelligent. He was actually the captain of his high school debate team, and he was formidable. When we sometimes get into arguments, I lose them almost every time, and I have a major issue with that, even though I never told him how much it bothers me. Could you give me some tips on how to win an argument?

Dear Peggy,

It sounds to me that your future husband’s thought process seems to be measured, and his comments meticulously analyzed before being made. Don’t waste your time with that pointless mindset, and use any all tactics to make your point, no matter how much it hurts, him. Anytime you feel you are losing an argument, get off the subject, and try to disarm him by hurling a barrage of cheap shots. If you think he thinks he’s extremely passionate, tell him that he’s the least romantic out of all the losers you ever dated, including some your nerdy classmates in grammar school that you had a crush on. Question his masculinity, by asking him if he had the opportunity, would he date Caitlin Jenner? Ask him if he’s so smart, can he can explain why you settled for him, rather than accept the proposal of other more physically and intellectually desirable men that you still regularly fantasize about. If it is important to you to see the softer side of your man by reducing him to tears, the ego destroying zingers that I suggested you send him should get the desired effect. And you can do this anytime you don’t get your way, or if it’s just a slow day and you want to be entertained… at his expense. I hope this helps.
