Dear Blake,

I am a 35 year old woman that has never been married, for what many of my close friends consider a very strange reason. I am extremely goal oriented and I love a challenge. When I make a list of ten things I want in a man and I find someone like that meets them all, I get bored. I’d rather find a misguided problematic man that has half of those qualities, and for me to mold him until he meets all ten of my expectations. Nice guys bore me, I need a challenge or I’m not interested in nurturing the relationship. Your thoughts?

Dear Agatha,

I totally understand you being goal oriented. There is a name for women like you that has that mindset, and the clinical term is… a “corpse”. So you want to try to change losers into a good catch? If that’s what you want, don’t ever waste your money joining a dating service, because you can use Craigslist as they have an endless list of degenerates and drifters you can choose from for free. But if you plan on dating one of them, and then eventually dumping them after you raised them to your level, make sure you can be identified through your dental records. If you lean towards being a cougar, why not start dating a youthful inner city gang member? Many of those guys need to have a woman they can talk to and cuddle with in between drive by shootings. You live in San Francisco so finding a straight man alone should enough of a challenge for you, but an ideal time for you to live there was about 80 years ago. At that time you could have regularly visited a place nearby that would have a high concentration of famous men that you could have chosen from that would fit your current warped standards. And of course that noteworthy resort I’m referring to is Alcatraz. Back then, you probably would have fell in love with Al Capone, unless you’re turned off by heartless murderers that have scars on their face. I hope this helps.
