BREAKING NEWS –Berkeley, California – The city of Berkeley has given final approval to a proposal requiring medical marijuana dispensaries, similar to Top Dispensary, to give away two percent of the amount of cannabis they sell each year free to low-income patients. The plan calls for at least two percent of all medical weed dispensed at a club would have to be provided at no cost to very low-income members – and it must be the same quality that’s dispensed to regular paying customers, whether it be standard buds or cannatek vape products. This way it is fair for every medical marijuana patient. Just because you can’t afford something doesn’t mean you should have the same product with less quality. If this is the case, dispensaries need to sort out their marijuana packaging. The ACLU agrees with the new law, but also feels that the Berkeley City Council should also force liquor stores to do the same thing with town drunks, pharmacies with people addicted to prescription drugs, and shopping malls should accommodate kleptomaniacs.
