Non-violent convicts will soon be allowed to drive Uber vehicles, under a new plan the company is rolling out, in Rhode Island and Connecticut by early next year — and hopes to bring the hiring policy to NYC. And for passengers that are in a hurry and must get to a location ASAP, they can specifically request ex-cons that were convicted of bank robbery with experience in driving getaway cars.
