BREAKING NEWS – Jacksonville, Florida – Former Democratic Rep. Corrine Brown was found guilty on 18 fraud and tax evasion charges. The charges stemmed from accusations she illegally siphoned thousands of dollars from her charity into her own bank account for lavish parties, trips and shopping excursions. Her attorney said they will appeal the decision, alleging that Brown was entrapped. “The federal government and her charity are to blame for my client getting convicted. Both of them either known or should have known that Ms. Brown was stealing everything that wasn’t nailed down. I have personally recognized that she has the propensity to rip people off, yet I did not file charges against her when she stole my car keys during our initial consultation. Rather than calling the cops, I began exclusively giving her legal counsel over the phone keeping her out of my office, and I controlled my anger after being forced to take the bus to and from court.
