BREAKING NEWS – Massapequa Park, New York – Many runners are offended by a Massapequa Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot’s Facebook post. The comment was very specific, wanting “skinny runners in the back and fat runners in the front.” The anonymous person apologized for the comment stating that he wrote it due to “safety concerns”. He further explained, “if a skinny runner was in the front and tripped and fell, he or she would be crushed to death/pancaked by the larger runners. Whereas, if one of the huge runners were in front and they fell, skinny runners would step on them, and safely bounce forward without incident.”
