BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – Dozens of gang members, some of whom belonged to the notorious MS-13 gang, were shielded from deportation and released due to “sanctuary” policies last year, according to newly released stats from the Department of Homeland Security. The revelation could jolt the escalating “sanctuary” debate, especially in California where many of those gang members were located. “Two-thirds of the releases occurred in California, which has had a strict sanctuary policy in effect since January 2014,” the Center for Immigration Studies said in a post on the data, pointing to “obvious public safety problems.” Governor Jerry Brown of California responded to the new stats by encouraging gang members that are in his state illegally, to form a union in the hopes that could have some protection through the Department of Labor. “I urged MS-13 that once they have appointed a union representative, for that person to dress professionally when speaking publicly on behalf of his gang, while simultaneously concealing their guns, machetes, and any of their favorite instruments that they frequently use for torture.”
