BREAKING NEWS – Washington, D.C. – In 7/29/14 Sen. Dianne Feinstein wrote a letter to then-President Barack Obama informing him that he could use “very broad power” to limit immigration as he saw fit. She cites Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act — the same federal legislation cited by the Trump administration in unveiling a rule denying asylum claims to migrants who enter the country illegally. “Whenever the president finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States,” the legislation states, “he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or non-immigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.” Feinstein is now saying that she wrote the letter when she was very angry at Hispanics after firing a few of them for doing a “substandard job” on her front lawn and shrubs. She also said that Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act is “extremely racist”, and she condemned all republicans for not challenging her when she quoted it in her letter in 2014.
