BREAKING NEWS – Concord, New Hampshire – The Granite State may have been Bernie Sanders country in the 2016 Democratic primary, but Sen. Kamala Harris says she won’t follow in the independent senator from Vermont’s footsteps. Asked if she would have to run as a democratic socialist – which is how Sanders often describes himself, the Democrat from California quickly and bluntly answered that “I am not a democratic socialist.” Harris went on to say, “I’m here because I believe that this is a very important state and intend to spend a lot of time here, and I intend to compete for the votes here and I’m going to put a lot of effort into doing that.” When Sanders later stated, “I intend on spending a lot of time in New Hampshire too”, Harris responded to his plan by saying, “His comment was racist, sexist, and totally uncalled for, and I demand a public apology from him for his hurtful, insensitive, bigoted words!”
