BREAKING NEWS – Chicago, Illinois – The Cook County state’s attorney has recused herself from the investigation surrounding Jussie Smollett, as Chicago police continue to dig into the alleged hate crime attack the actor claims occurred last month. State’s Attorney Kim Foxx recused herself, but it was not immediately clear why. First Assistant State’s Attorney Joseph Magats will take over the case as acting state’s attorney. Smollett immediately responded to her decision. “I should’ve suspected that she would do something like this,” the actor began. “She is abandoning me because she would have the authority to hinder or halt an investigation on my allegations. Last week Robin Roberts bungled the interview she had with me by permitting the cameras to focus on my face after she asked me questions, which allowed body language experts to easily pick up on my deceptive responses. This is one of the reasons why I am proud to be gay man, because I don’t trust black women for the simple reason that they have never shown me any loyalty, and my dishonesty is not an excuse for them to abandon me in my hour of need.”
