BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – Hilaria Baldwin has now admitted that she was born in Boston, she’s White, and her real name is Hillary, but her husband, Alec Baldwin, is still defending her use of a seemingly fake Spanish accent.
The drama started when the 36-year-old yoga/wellness expert reacted to a tweet which said, “You have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s commitment to her decade long grift where she impersonates a Spanish person.” The now-viral tweet has since been deleted.
Hilaria Baldwin had claimed she was born in Mallorca, Spain, and was raised in Boston. She explained on a podcast in April 2020, “I moved here [to America] when I was 19 to go to NYU from… my family lives in Spain, they live in Mallorca.” The bilingual mother of five’s accent has also noticeably fluctuated over the years when she made appearances on TV.
She addressed the criticism online in a video. “There have been some questions about where I’m born, I’m born in Boston.”
Alec then weighed in with an angry tweet. “First of all, my wife was just a few seconds old, so how the heck would she know where she was born? I’ve heard that her type of confusion is very common among people who were born in the New England states! And of course her accent changes under certain conditions, because that’s how she intellectually reacts to various environments. For example during our Christmas dinner she was eating some German chocolate cake, and her accent then sounded like she was a citizen in Berlin during World War II!”
