BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – Harvey Weinstein has appealed his sex crime conviction from his 2020 New York trial.

The disgraced movie producer was found guilty in February 2020 of rape and a criminal sexual act. The now 69-year-old was sentenced to 23 years in prison in March 2020.

Weinstein’s lawyers filed a 166-page appeal claiming Manhattan Supreme Court Justice James Burke “woefully neglected” to ensure a fair trial.

Weinstein also did a brief interview from prison. “I don’t know why I got 23 years in prison while Bill Cosby got less than half of that?” began Weinstein. “A comedian gets less time than a movie producer? This is outrageous! Cosby used drugs to seduce those women, whereas I would never use a controlled substance to sexually take advantage of a woman, instead, I only threatened to ruin their careers if they didn’t put out. Cosby is the real monster, not me! I gotta get outta here!”
