BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – New York Magazine published an article which asserted the Republican Party only supports parents’ right in education due to their view of parents as “household tyrants” to children.
Intelligencer senior writer Sarah Jones covered the topic in the context of recent efforts by Florida Republicans to pass new education laws. Jones criticized the new laws claiming that to “empower parents, Florida Republicans would put children in danger.”
Furthermore, she argued against any suggestion that parents should have more rights over their children or that they know what’s best for kids.
“Republican parents are basically a bunch of tyrants that gets off on continually bossing their kids around,” explained Jones. “We democrats teach our kids to stand up to parental bullies, which is the reason the majority of our teenagers run our households by intimidating their moms and dads. And they should continue living at home until they move out, but only after assurances that government entitlements will take care of them for the rest of their lives.”
