BREAKING NEWS – San Antonio, Texas – First Lady Jill Biden said the Hispanic community was as “unique” as the “breakfast tacos” during a speech in San Antonio, Texas. She was speaking at the 2022 UnidosUS Annual Conference.
At the time, she was commenting on UnidosUS President Raul Yzaguirre’s work.
“Raul helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community, as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength,” she said.
This isn’t the first time the First Lady used food to indirectly describe an ethnicity. In 2020, she described Italians as unique as homemade salad dressing, Asians as unique as a bowl full of fish heads, and blacks as unique as unseasoned spare ribs at a backyard barbecue, where fights often break out.
