BREAKING NEWS – New York City, New York – Brittney Griner’s wife Cherelle Griner, said Brittney’s nine-year prison sentence in Russia “terrifies” her and said the whole situation is “like a movie.”
“It’s like a movie for me,” Cherelle said on “CBS Mornings” in her first interview since her wife’s sentencing. “I’m like, in no world did I ever thought, you know, our president and a foreign nation president would be sitting down having to discuss the freedom of my wife. The only good news is, even if Brittney served all nine years, she’d still would be able to play in the WNBA because she wouldn’t be missed, since hardly no one ever goes to those games.”
