BREAKING NEWS – Denver Colorado – The city of Denver is facing criticism from homeless advocates after removing encampments near Coors Field ahead of the Colorado Rockies’ opening day.

“It’s disgraceful, and they’re not trying to solve the problem,” Grant Francis, with the homeless advocacy group Mutual Aid Monday, told Denver7. “They’re just trying to provide some optics that make it look like they’re trying to do something.”

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took it one step farther… if not two. “It’s obvious to me what they are doing,” she tweeted. “The Rockies are playing a ‘home’ game and the street people have no ‘home’. See the connection? What I am saying is, I believe baseball created homelessness. None of this would’ve happened if this sport was never invented. Plus, the Rockies are playing at Coors Field, with the obvious connection to beer, which is a way of taunting all the homeless drunks that live in nearby tent cities.”
