BREAKING NEWS – San Francisco, California – San Francisco Mayor London Breed’s office responded to a “Good Morning America” segment that called the city “too dangerous” to film in downtown as hurting “all San Franciscans” in a statement to San Francisco Gate.

“Sadly some of the news coverage conflate the reasons or do not provide the full picture of why big retailers and other businesses in San Francisco are deciding to leave or transfer ownership of their operations,” the mayor’s office told SFGATE.

Breed’s office claimed that the COVID-19 pandemic reduced “foot traffic” in downtown San Francisco, but GMA disagreed and said they saw plenty of foot traffic downtown, and most of it was by homeless people that were “literally squatting in front of businesses relieving themselves, while city workers carrying shovels and Glade followed them.”
