BREAKING NEWS – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – A Pennsylvania woman thwarted a home invasion by shooting burglary suspects who entered her Philadelphia apartment.
The Philadelphia Police Department says officers responded to a 1:34 a.m. report of a shooting in Germantown.. When authorities arrived, they found the woman standing on Germantown Avenue near one of the suspects, who was injured and lying on the ground.
The woman told police that four unknown men entered her apartment before she opened fire.
“There is no evidence that any of the four men had guns!” exclaimed Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a tweet. “They could’ve gotten killed, that’s why I am introducing a bill where the federal government steps in, and supplies peaceful unarmed burglars, with bulletproof vests!”
